Reiki

Reiki (霊気) was introduced in 1922 by a Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui, which has since been adapted by various teachers of varying traditions. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

Reiki is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

Shambala

In Tibetan Buddhist and Indian Hindu/Buddhist traditions, Shambhala (also spelled Shambala or Shamballa) is a mythical kingdom hidden somewhere in Inner Asia. Gradually it has come to be seen as a Buddhist Pure Land, a fabulous kingdom whose reality is visionary or spiritual rather than physical or geographic. It was in this form that the Shambhala myth reached the West, where it influenced non-Buddhist as well as Buddhist spiritual seekers — and, to some extent, popular culture in general.

Like Reiki, Shamballa is the energy of unconditional love. A Shamballa practitioner receives attunements to raise and accelerate their energy vibration in order to channel this energy in a healing, very much like a Reiki healing.  Also like Reiki, the channeled energy intelligently travels where it needs to go in the body and in the energy field of the person in order to facilitate healing.

A session can be given with a gentle laying on of hands, or the practitioner can channel energy from a short distance from the body for the same results. A treatment can be performed on a patient while he/she is lying down, sitting or standing, fully clothed

Shamballa healing aids you in awakening your multi-dimensional self. It is a way of facilitating wholeness, achieved by clearing blockages and old emotional debris during a healing session, reconnecting you to the full expression of your being, so that you can experience fulfillment in every aspect of your life.

Qi Gong

Qi Gong (also spelled Ch'i Kung) is a powerful system of healing and energy medicine from China. It is the art and science of using breathing techniques, gentle movement and meditation to cleanse, strengthen, and circulate the life energy. Qi means energy and Gong means skill. Together, Qi Gong is the skill of attracting vital energy and its practice leads to better health and vitality and a tranquil state of mind.

In Tao philosophy all positive forces in the universe have a negative force. These opposing forces act to balance one another out. When the Qi of the body is out of balance, the body gets sick  Maintaining a balanced Qi will insure health, and in order to restore health from sickness, the Qi must be brought back to a balanced state, thus Qi Gong is a way to balance energy and heal and ward off illness.

Qi Gong can be practised by oneself by following a set of gentle movements that are designed to cleanse and revitalise the energy lines in the body.

A Qi Gong healing can take many different forms, a Qi Gong  practitioner can transmit energy into your body through acupuncture meridians, by his/her palms, or by tapping the individual. A Qi Gong practitioner can also transmit Qi energy into inanimate objects and solutions, which when held to, or consumed by the body will transmit the Qi energy into the body and restore balance.

The benefits of Qi Gong is that it supports the body into restoring itself to its original "program", uncorrupted by stress, pollution, and disease.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi, as it is practiced in the west today, can perhaps best be thought of as a moving form of yoga and meditation combined. There are a number forms which consist of a sequence of movements. Many of these movements are originally derived from the martial arts although the way they are performed in Tai Chi is slowly, softly and gracefully with smooth and even transitions between them.

For many practitioners the focus in doing Tai Chi forms is as a meditative exercise for the body while others enjoy the combat aspects of Tai Chi forms.

One of the benefits of Tai Chi is to foster the circulation of 'chi '(life force energy) within the body, the belief being that by doing so the health and vitality of the person are enhanced.
Another benefit from Tai Chi is a calm and tranquil mind, from focusing one’s mind on the precise execution of the forms. Learning to do them correctly provides a practical avenue for learning body balance, alignment, fine-scale motor control and rhythm of movement and thus the practice of Tai Chi can contribute to being able to move the body better.
