The Unexpected

Sometimes a gentle word from a stranger or a song from a bird at sunrise can bring about spontaneous healing, like any where, this can happen in Chiang Mai also.

CranioSacral Therapy

Practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system. Craniosacral Therapy is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and it''s effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.

How does CranioSacral Therapy (CST) Work?

The central nervous system is heavily influenced by the craniosacral system – the membranes and fluid that surround, protect and nourish the brain and the spinal cord. Every day your body endures stresses and strains that tighten and distort the craniosacral system. These distortions can then cause tension to form around the brain and spinal cord resulting in restrictions. This can create a barrier to the healthy performance of the central nervous system, and potentially every other system it interacts with.

Fortunately, such restrictions can be detected and corrected using simple touch methods. With a light touch, the CST practitioner uses his or her hands to evaluate the craniosacral system by gently feeling various locations of the body to test for the ease of motion and rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid pulsing around the brain and spinal cord.

Soft-touch techniques are then used to release restrictions in any tissues influencing the craniosacral system. CranioSacral Therapy is able to alleviate a wide variety of dysfunctions, from chronic pain and sports injuries to stroke and neurological impairment.

The following is a list of conditions that CranioSacral Therapy is known to address.
  • Migraines and Headaches
  • Chronic Neck and Back Pain Autism
  • Stress and Tension-Related Disorders
  • Motor-Coordination Impairments
  • Infant and Childhood Disorders
  • Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries
  • Chronic Fatigue Fibromyalgia
  • TMJ Syndrome
  • Scoliosis
  • Central Nervous System Disorders
  • Learning Disabilities
  • ADD/ADHD
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Orthopedic Problems

Reiki

Reiki (霊気) was introduced in 1922 by a Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui, which has since been adapted by various teachers of varying traditions. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

Reiki is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

Detox

When you do a detox, you remove toxins or poisons from your body, which have accumulated from life including the air you breathe, the foods you eat and in the medications we are prescribed.  A detox cleanse can be very beneficial and can make you feel a lot healthier, although you need to make sure you do the right detox for you.

The benefits from a detox include :

Remove Excess Waste

It is possible that you are carrying around excess fecal matter in your body.  This excess waste can add on weight and just make you feel lethargic.  When you do a detox, you can clean your colon and eliminate all this excess waste you are carrying around.

Clear Unwanted Emotional Baggage

Detox not only clears these stored ‘poisons’ in our body but it also stirs up the emotions that are held with it. People are often shocked by these stirred up emotions and don’t understand why they are having them during a detox. These emotions are unresolved issues that were held in the body and are now surfacing during the detox, but by not adequately dealing with these emotions again causes them to be stored back in the body. Read how Releasing supports you to clear these emotions during a detox.

Increase Energy Levels

Having a lot of toxins in your body can decrease your energy levels.

Strengthen Immune System

Your body will be able to fight off illnesses better because it is not filled with contaminants.

Increase Mental Focus

When you don’t have these toxins in your body anymore, you will be able to concentrate better and have more creativity

Clearer Skin and Shinier Hair

Getting rid of all the toxins in your body can actually make your hair look shinier and clear up your skin.

Body Work

Bodywork and massage as healing tools have been around for thousands of years in many cultures. Healers throughout the world have instinctively and independently developed a wide range of therapeutic techniques using touch, providing benefits ranging from treating chronic diseases and injuries to alleviating the growing tensions from our modern lifestyles.

Having a bodywork session does more than just relax your body and mind — over a number of sessions it can correct specific physiological problems such as poor posture as well as providing psychological improvements by allowing us to clear the blocked emotions that were held deep within the body tissue.

For this reason a corrective body work session can be physically painful and emotional as well, all positive signals showing us that we have made a step forward in our life.

The benefits of bodywork includes a lowering of blood pressure, increased circulation, improved injury recovery, encourages deep sleep and increases concentration. It can reduce fatigue and can give you more energy to handle stressful situations while providing an opportunity for emotional release and spiritual insights, bringing with it a deeper sense of relaxation and peace.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) commonly referred to as “Tapping”, is a safe, gentle, non-invasive technique that uses the tips of the fingers to lightly tap various spots located on the face and body. It is referred to as emotional acupuncture or emotional acupressure however, EFT can also be classified as a simple form of hypnosis because it involves ‘focused concentration’ i.e. focusing the attention on an issue such as an emotional upset or physical discomfort while tapping on the body.

The process of gently tapping on these meridians or body points allows the body’s physical energy system to engage with the mind and this helps achieve alignment between the two. EFT works with our natural ‘Mind-Body’ connection in allowing us to restore our healthy natural balance.

EFT was introduced by Gary Craig in the early 1990's. Earlier he trained in Dr. Roger Callahan's Thought Field Therapy (TFT), as such TFT has become the father of EFT and also of numerous other methods in the field that we call today "energy psychology".

Anyone can learn and use EFT in a relatively short amount of time, allowing us an opportunity to achieve great results in relieving stress and other uncomfortable feelings. Many sites on the Internet teach EFT for free, providing free manuals and instructional videos. However like any healing technique, there are many aspects to learn and understand fully before one can apply EFT successfully to deal with the more difficult problems.

A key benefit of EFT is that it is a self-help tool, providing opportunities to remove old, non-serving thought patterns, emotional reactions and negative emotions. It can also be very successful in treating illnesses in particularly pain management, often reducing physical pain by 90%.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

NLP stands for the study of Neuro- how we think, Linguistic- how we communicate with and without words, Programme- the patterns of our behaviour and emotions. It is a behavioural technology comprising of guiding principles, attitudes, and techniques about real life behaviour.

NLP is initially the work of Richard Bandler and John Grinder who modelled successful people. In their modelling they were able to capture the processes that led to the success of these people in their chosen careers, so that this model could be taught and successfully applied to other people. This NLP modelling enables us to identify behaviours that is weak or detrimental and replace it with an ideal chosen behaviour.

Our sub-conscious mind does not easily accept change or be controlled by us. It will continue to do things that it does instinctively. NLP helps you have a greater influence on your mind by learning to speak to the mind in language it understands and responds to. It is a kind of hypnosis as it allows us to accept new thoughts and realities and for this reason NLP techniques are often used in a hypnosis session.

The benefits of NLP can be broad as it is about how you train your mind and gives you the tools to set new directions in your life. It can set the foundation for persuasion and influence, quality life skills and practical business applications as well as providing opportunities for clearing emotional disturbances and negativity from our lives. In all NLP can provide big benefits to our lives.

Major organizations, sportsmen, educators, and individuals (especially politicians) use NLP to greatly increase their performance in their respective fields. There are many free resources on the web for learning NLP .

Shamanism

Shamanism is a practice that involves a practitioner reaching altered states of consciousness in order to encounter and interact with the spirit world and channel this energy back into this world. A shaman is a person regarded as having access to, and influence in, the world of benevolent and malevolent spirits, who typically enters into a trance state during a ritual, and practices divination and healing.

Shamanism refers to ancient native spiritual and healing practises and as such each region has its own variation of shamanism. Variations include North & South American, Russian, Siberian and Mongolian shamanism.

Shamans are said to treat ailments/illness by alleviating traumas affecting the soul which in turn restores the health to the physical body. Shamans may visit other worlds/dimensions to bring guidance to misguided souls and to ameliorate illnesses caused by foreign elements.

Some common benefits that shamans provide in their healings include the removal of attached negative entities in our aura, a form of past life regression called Soul Retrieval and the communal sweat lodge. A sweat lodge is a ritual in a closed tent with a fire at the centre. The shaman leading the sweat lodge adds water onto the fire to create steam as well as chant, drum and contact spirits to guide the participants for healing and a self-discovery journey during the sweat. Particularly famous in South America shamanism is the use of Iowaska, (Ayahuasca) which is an Amazonian plant mixture used to induce altered states of consciousness where the person undertakes a journey of the soul under the guidance of the shaman.

Meditation

There are many different practises of meditation often aiming at achieving different goals including relaxation, build internal energy or life force, develop compassion, love, patience, generosity and forgiveness.

However I would suggest the true path of mediation is to know and live from our true essence. This then becomes not only a practise we do when we are sitting in meditation but also a way of living. For our journey is to realise we are this awareness, to wake up out of the grip of the egoic sense of I and the practise of meditation is a tool to help us realise this truth.

The benefit of abiding in true essence, to know ourself as divinity, is the end of suffering, which in so many ways we are all seeking albeit in ways that offer transient relief.

Yoga

The word yoga, from the Sanskrit word yuj means to yoke or bind and is often interpreted as "union" and has been referred to by Hindu Indians as a path to God.

The yoga path to God has 8 aspects; restraints, observances, postures, breathing, withdrawal of senses, concentration, meditation and absorption. As we follow this path, we refine our behavior in the outer world as we begin to focus more inwardly until we reach liberation or enlightenment.

Today most people practicing yoga are engaged in the program of physical postures, which were designed to purify the body and provide the physical strength and stamina that is required for long periods of meditation. An unfortunate side effect of this western adoption of the Indian Path to God is that it tends to create focused yoga communities that miss the greater opportunity for the spiritual opening that the path of yoga offers.

When Yoga is practiced primarily as a low impact fitness routine then the benefits provided would equal that of any similar fitness activity including weight loss, stress relief, improved immunity, better flexibility, posture and energy.  A extra benefit from Yoga is that it uses key postures for clearing energy lines in the body and this provides opportunities for emotional clearing and healing as well as spiritual insights.

Shambala

In Tibetan Buddhist and Indian Hindu/Buddhist traditions, Shambhala (also spelled Shambala or Shamballa) is a mythical kingdom hidden somewhere in Inner Asia. Gradually it has come to be seen as a Buddhist Pure Land, a fabulous kingdom whose reality is visionary or spiritual rather than physical or geographic. It was in this form that the Shambhala myth reached the West, where it influenced non-Buddhist as well as Buddhist spiritual seekers — and, to some extent, popular culture in general.

Like Reiki, Shamballa is the energy of unconditional love. A Shamballa practitioner receives attunements to raise and accelerate their energy vibration in order to channel this energy in a healing, very much like a Reiki healing.  Also like Reiki, the channeled energy intelligently travels where it needs to go in the body and in the energy field of the person in order to facilitate healing.

A session can be given with a gentle laying on of hands, or the practitioner can channel energy from a short distance from the body for the same results. A treatment can be performed on a patient while he/she is lying down, sitting or standing, fully clothed

Shamballa healing aids you in awakening your multi-dimensional self. It is a way of facilitating wholeness, achieved by clearing blockages and old emotional debris during a healing session, reconnecting you to the full expression of your being, so that you can experience fulfillment in every aspect of your life.

Qi Gong

Qi Gong (also spelled Ch'i Kung) is a powerful system of healing and energy medicine from China. It is the art and science of using breathing techniques, gentle movement and meditation to cleanse, strengthen, and circulate the life energy. Qi means energy and Gong means skill. Together, Qi Gong is the skill of attracting vital energy and its practice leads to better health and vitality and a tranquil state of mind.

In Tao philosophy all positive forces in the universe have a negative force. These opposing forces act to balance one another out. When the Qi of the body is out of balance, the body gets sick  Maintaining a balanced Qi will insure health, and in order to restore health from sickness, the Qi must be brought back to a balanced state, thus Qi Gong is a way to balance energy and heal and ward off illness.

Qi Gong can be practised by oneself by following a set of gentle movements that are designed to cleanse and revitalise the energy lines in the body.

A Qi Gong healing can take many different forms, a Qi Gong  practitioner can transmit energy into your body through acupuncture meridians, by his/her palms, or by tapping the individual. A Qi Gong practitioner can also transmit Qi energy into inanimate objects and solutions, which when held to, or consumed by the body will transmit the Qi energy into the body and restore balance.

The benefits of Qi Gong is that it supports the body into restoring itself to its original "program", uncorrupted by stress, pollution, and disease.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi, as it is practiced in the west today, can perhaps best be thought of as a moving form of yoga and meditation combined. There are a number forms which consist of a sequence of movements. Many of these movements are originally derived from the martial arts although the way they are performed in Tai Chi is slowly, softly and gracefully with smooth and even transitions between them.

For many practitioners the focus in doing Tai Chi forms is as a meditative exercise for the body while others enjoy the combat aspects of Tai Chi forms.

One of the benefits of Tai Chi is to foster the circulation of 'chi '(life force energy) within the body, the belief being that by doing so the health and vitality of the person are enhanced.
Another benefit from Tai Chi is a calm and tranquil mind, from focusing one’s mind on the precise execution of the forms. Learning to do them correctly provides a practical avenue for learning body balance, alignment, fine-scale motor control and rhythm of movement and thus the practice of Tai Chi can contribute to being able to move the body better.

Sound Healing

For centures the Tibetan people have practiced sound healing and consciousness transformation with metal bronze bowls also known as “singing bowls.”

In a healing session a practitioner uses pure sound emitting instruments such as the Tibetan Singing Bowls or even tuning forks to create clear audible frequencies. Using their intuition as guidance they select a sequence of sounds to play that will resonate in key areas of your physical and spiritual being in order to promote self-healing and emotional re-balancing

Sound is heard not only heard through our ears but felt, experienced through every cell in our body. One reason sound heals on a physical level is because it deeply touches and transforms us on the emotional and spiritual planes.

Sound can redress imbalances on every level of physiologic functioning and can play a positive role in the treatment of virtually any medical disorder. Sound has also been shown to be a vital part of the healing process for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and helps with pain relief management. After a healing session clients may experience improved memory, clarity, vitality and the ability to take action.

Past Life Regression | Past Life Therapy

Past Life Regression or Past Life Therapy is a type of therapy approach to clear unresolved issues that were generated in a previous life and continue to affect this current life. What is interesting with this approach is that it works regardless if a person believes in past lives. For this reason we suggest to clients who don’t believe in past lives to see it as a symbolic healing tool.

Past Life Regression can be done in 2 ways. A practitioner can encourage a person to go back in time relevant for their healing. The person is usually regressed when they are feeling very relaxed or in a trance induced by hypnosis. When the person is regressed in this way they can experience the life as it was and not be aware that they are visiting a different timeline (past life). Once a person is connected to the past life the person addresses the unresolved issues under guidance by the practitioner before the timeline is exited.

Another form of Past Life Regression is therapist directed, where the therapist sees (using clairvoyance) the unresolved issues in this life that originated in a previous life. The therapist then directs the person who is in a relaxed state or in a light trance to emotionally connect to the past life. Suggested imagery and the life story overview are given by the practitioner to support the person to connect energetically to the timeline. Once connected the emotions can be released as well as the underlying negative thoughts and beliefs from this timeline.

In our Releasing work we apply the second approach as we have found that not all people are able to regress back to a past life using the first approach. The second approach also ensures we can take a person back to a life time that is necessary for their current healing, where in the first approach people may regress back to a number of timelines before they might reach a relevant timeline for their healing.

The benefits of a Past Life Regression include the releasing of stuck negative emotions, habits and beliefs that a person wasn't able to clear, despite all the things they may have tried. A good example of this would be a client's fear of swimming in deep water. Despite the fact the client was becoming a good long distance swimmer he always felt tense in the water. During a session he was guided into a past life when he was a prisoner in a hull of a ship, the ship was sinking at sea and as he was locked up in a cage and was thus panicking with fear before he drowned. When he was guided to clear these feelings of fear his current fear of drowning in deep water cleared.
